The Haryana police have raided an illegal casino on Wednesday night. It was engaged in celebrating a pre-Diwali gambling event. The casino-cum-mini bar was illegally running its business in upscale South City phase 1, in K Block, Gurugram. Rs 22 lakh cash was seized along with the casino the owner. Including four women, forty-three people have been arrested. In addition to this, a money counting machine, a country-made pistol, four live cartridges, 210 tokens, three laptops, 48 beer bottles, and a roulette table have been seized by the cops.
Paramjeet Singh, who was convicted of murder, was arrested in that raid. The sacked and fugitive sub-inspector was a part of the crime branch team which is responsible for fake encounter of Sandeep Gadoli. This five-member team encountered Gurugram’s gangster at Mumbai’s Andheri East hotel in January 2016.
The Chakri (roundtable) was placed in one room. A lady was engaged in operating the roundtable while three others were serving liquors to the aspirants. However, the three spacious rooms were involved in that casino. “Upon raiding the house, we found illegal gambling taking place in room numbers 302, 303 and another one that was not numbered,” said the PRO of Gurgaon Police.
