Recently in a joint raid by Cyberabad Special Operation Team in association with Shadnagar police at a farmhouse, catches 25 miscreants gambling under the influence of drugs. An amount of INR 24100 in cash along with one motorbike and a car are also seized by the police in the raid. The farmhouse which belongs to a Shafaat Ali Khan, who is currently based in Dubai, is being managed by Rehmaat Ali Khan and it’s not known if the owner and the manager are related. Rehmaat Khan and his relatives gathered at the farmhouse located in Kothur Village to gamble and having a good time. As sometimes parties go out of hand, this secret convention of gamblers is exposed and an anonymous tip to the police leads to its discovery. Sub Inspector of the Kothur Police Station A Srisailam, quoted “We received an anonymous tip which said that in a particular farmhouse many strangers or outsiders have gathered and something fishy has been going on since Saturday evening. We didn’t waste a single moment; we rushed to the farmhouse and arrested all the assailants. We also seized an amount of INR 24100 and a couple of high end automobiles. During the raid, twenty five persons were caught red-handed while playing cards and smoking hookah in the premises causing disturbance and nuisance in the area. When we were arresting them some of them were so drugged they couldn’t even move and two of them tried to escape only to be caught by the police while climbing out of the balcony,” he said. A case was registered against the assailants and the court hearing is to be followed shortly.
