NZ-W vs IN-W Dream11 Predictions
Women’s World Twenty20, 2018
New Zealand Women vs India Women, 1st Match | NZ-W vs IN-W WHO WILL WIN
After weeks of anticipation, euphoria, and off-course a plethora of practice matches, we are finally minutes away from the Women’s World Twenty20- a tournament which is expected to take Women’s cricket to a completely new level after a path-breaking World Cup last year in the UK.
India look to take the leap; White Ferns’ eye clinical start
This will be the first time that a Women’s World Twenty20 will be played away from the shadow from the Men’s event. The first game will see India Women take on the White Ferns’ in a Pool B encounter at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
For the Women in Blue, the World Twenty20 offers them a chance to take that leap towards the holy grail after a path-breaking 2017 World Cup campaign. where they agonizingly lost at the final hurdle to England.
But, it wouldn’t be as hunky-dory for the Women in Blue. Only four members of their current squad have the experience of playing in the Windies and with Jhulan Goswami retiring from T20Is, their bowling unit will revolve around their skillful yet inexperienced spinners. They have had a good outing in the practice matches leading into the event with wins over defending champions Windies and England, but it’ll be a completely different ball game when the actual event starts.
The onus of holding the batting unit together will once again be on Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur while Jemimah Rodriques and Veda Krishnamurthy will provide the much-needed X-Factor to the middle-order.
They’ll be up against the White Ferns’ who boast of a formidable batting unit spearheaded by Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and ably supported by Amy Sattherwaite and Maddy Green. All-rounder Amelia Kerr is the X-Factor who can change the game with both bat and ball while Lea Tahuhu will spearhead the fast bowling department.
The White Ferns’ have failed to reach the semi-finals since 2010 and they’ll hope to start their campaign on a positive note.
Venue:- Providence Stadium, Guyana
Match Timing:- Friday, November 09, 2018, 08:30 PM IST
