IN-A vs IN-C Dream11 Predictions
Deodhar Trophy, 2018
India A vs India C, 3rd Match | IN-A vs IN-A WHO WILL WIN
The third and final league-stage match of the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy will see India A take on India C as both sides strive to make their way into the summit clash to be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on October 27th.
Karthik-led India A seek a turnaround
Despite skipper Dinesh Karthik’s 114-ball-99, India A fell short by 43 runs in the first game while chasing 8-261 thanks to Mayank Markande’s 4-48 and Shahbaz Nadeem’s (3-32) opening burst. Barring Karthik, only Ravichandran Ashwin (54) could post any substantial score as India A were eventually bowled out for 218 in 46.4 overs.
The failure of Prithvi Shaw, who has had a great few weeks with India and Mumbai (Vijay Hazare Trophy) and Karun Nair for a duck, was a major reason why India A could not get going with the run-chase after Hanuma Vihari’s 82 and Manoj Tiwari’s 58-ball-52 helped India B post 8-261 in 50 overs.
Ravichandran Ashwin (2-39) was the pick of the bowlers for his side while Dhawal Kulkarni (1-44), Mohammad Siraj (1-41) and Siddarth Kaul (1-57) chipped in to restrict India B to 9-231 after being 4-202 at one stage.
They’ll now face Ajinkya Rahane-led India C in a do-or-die encounter after the latter failed to chase to down 9-231 in their previous game as Krishnappa Gowtham (3-40) and Tiwary (3-44) snapped three-wickets apiece to derail India-C charge.
None of the batsmen in Rahane (32), Shubhman Gill (36), Suryakumar Yadav (39) and Vijay Shankar (35) could kick-on and post a match-winning inning after their bowlers had restricted India B to 9-231 in 50 overs.
The loss to India-B means, the final league-stage match between India-A and India-C will be a knockout encounter with the winner to face India B for the summit clash on October 27th.
