Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Finals 2018 Match Preview
When and where:
This is the fourth edition of this incredible rivalry as Lebron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers come face to face against Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Golden State Warriors for the unparalleled glory.
The first match will be played at Warriors’ home Oracle Arena, Tomorrow at 06:30 AM, IST.
However, we could have been watching a completely different matchup in the NBA finals this season. Boston Celtics came within a whisker of snapping James’ envious streak of making 8 NBA finals on the trot after they took a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals. The Greens were 37-0 up in the postseason when they were two games to good, but Cavaliers have a Goliath in their ranks and it was James who, more than almost, single-handedly took the Cavs into their fourth straight NBA finals.
Houston Rockets, on the other hand, provided a much tougher test to the Warriors than Steve Kerr would have expected and it was not a shock considering James Harden and company were by far the best team in the regular season. The Rockets were 3-2 in the series but then came the game-6, and a stage where Kaly Thomspon become a completely different player.
With his side facing an elimination two years ago, Thompson dropped a jaw-dropping 41 points in the game-6 and in similar circumstances against Rockets, he produced yet another game-high performance as he scored 35 points in that match and forced the game -7 which the Dubs won 101-92 at Toyota Center.
GSW vs CLE DREAM11 Team News:
Golden State Warriors –
Andre Iguodala has been ruled out from this match –
The defending Champions are still fretting over the fitness of Shooting-Guard Andre Iguodala. The 34-year-old has still not fully recovered from a knee injury which he suffered in game-3 against Houston Rockets. The two-time NBA All-Defensive inductee remains a Game-Time decision for Steve Kerr, should he play, Kevon Looney is expected to feature from the bench.
Patrick McCaw is once again available for selection, while Chris Boucher has been ruled out from the match due to the Ankle Injury.
All other big-name players are available for selection.
Cleveland Cavaliers –
Kevin Love has been cleared to play by NBA concussion protocol.
Cavaliers are the worst hurt in this department as their 2nd best player this season, Kevin Love is still a major doubt for the first game. He suffered a head-to-head collision with Celtics’ rookie Jayson Tatum in Game-6 and didn’t play the 7th and the final game of the Eastern Conference finals.
Tristan Thompson replaced him in the squad and scored 10 points and 9 rebounds in the match. But Warriors are far superior to Celtics and Love remains their player to partner LeBron James in the offensive department. He remains a Game-time decision.
Expected Squad for the match:
Golden State Warriors – Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Kevon Looney, Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala (questionable), Klay Thompson, Jordan Bell, Shaun Livingston, Nick Young, Quinn Cook
Cleveland Cavaliers – Lebron James, Jeff Green, Tristan Thompson, J. R. Smith, Kevin Love (Doubt), George Hill, Kyle Korver, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr.

GSW vs CLE Dream11 players to watch out for:
Golden State Warriors – There are too many players in Warriors’ ranks who could change the face of the game in any situation. Stephen Curry is a two-time MVP and is regarded as the best ever shooter in NBA history. No wonder, he holds the record of the most three-points scored in a match. If Cavaliers allow him space, then he will definitely hurt them the most.
Kevin Durant is another big name player who joined Warriors last season and made them, even more, a formidable outfit. The Dubs’ Last year’s title-winning campaign was one of the easiest in NBA history as they lost just one game in the postseason. The former Oklahoma City Thunder player also won the NBA Finals MVP to round off a remarkable year.
Klay Thompson may not be the most highlighted players in Steve Kerr’s team, but he is as important as the two aforementioned players. His 35-point show in the game-6 is the reason why Warriors are competing for yet another NBA Championship.
Cleveland Cavaliers – It’s a no-brainer here. LeBron James is and will always be until he retires, a key player in whichever team he plays. The 4-time NBA MVP is racking up points at a remarkable average, scoring 34 points in every game in the postseason so far. The 33-year-old forward has also dropped a jaw-dropping 7 40-point games this postseason, and another 8 games where he scored 25 or more points. He is definitely the man Steve Kerr must stop to win the 2nd NBA title on the trot.

GSW vs CLE Dream11 Predictions:
Golden State Warriors have lost just once in the last 19 home games in the playoffs. However, that solo defeat came in the Western Conference finals in the game-4 against Houston Rockets. So they can be beaten int heir own backyard if a team is audacious enough to play an aggressive game.
But we are backing the Dubs to win this game.
