ICC Womens World T20, 2018

India Women vs Pakistan Women, 5th Match

Once again the whole cricketing world would come into a momentarily pause as two cricketing giants clash with each other and it is none other than India vs Pakistan. The rivalry on the ground between these two teams in unmatchable even, the Ashes Series fail to live up to the hype. The Women in Blue will once again look to destroy their opponent in their second game of the tournament as they did in their first game. Their commendable victory in the tournament opener against the Kiwis would give them all the confidence they need to break down their arch rivals in this upcoming fixture. The skipper blasted her way to take India on the top, leading from the front, scoring 103 runs off just 51 balls with 8 towering 6s and 7 boundaries. Helping India to a massive total of 194 runs in 20 over with 5 wickets remaining to spare, the contribution of Jeminah Rodrigues of 59 runs off 45 balls also shown how destructive the Indian batting line-up could be. The bowlers did their part but the duo Dayalan Hemalatha and Poonam Yadav nailed the Kiwis while they were 34 runs short.

The Pakistan women on the other hand, had a tough game in their opener against the Aussies. After being put to bowling by the Aussies, the Pakistani women failed to restrict their opponents to a small total. Aliya Riaz and Nashra Sandhu managed to bag two wickets each but they remained the only bowlers to take wickets. Pakistan came to down to the pitch looking to chase down a target of 166 runs in 20 over but after the openers being sent back early, the middle order also collapsed in a matter of time and Pakistan played all 20 over scoring 113 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

A thrilling encounter remains to be witnessed by all cricket fans at Guyana.

I always hate talking about myself because it feels weird to talk about myself honestly. Ever think that it's weird? No? Just me? My bad. Always hungry, always sleepy and in between always writing. Hope you won't mind!
