With the Indian Law Commission pushing the standards and rules of poker in India, country wide, the World Poker Tour seems to have found the perfect formula to expand their Asian reach. India is not the only country the poker organization has pin pointed to set their foundation. They also want to make their presence known in Vietnam as they are all set to organize a new tournament in September, promising a huge pay put for all participants.
In their 20 days tour to Asia, the World Poker Tour will hold an event in the Ho Chi Minh’s Pro Poker Club on September 26, 2018. There will be plenty of games to be played for bag loads of money. It is also believed that a $500 WPT Pro Poker Club Superstack Classic will be held with a $1000 Main Event in the tournament.
Before constructing their base in Vietnam, WPT would pay a visit to Japan from 15-17 September and then to South Korea from 18-21 September to check on the WPT Korea which is to be held at the Paradise City Casino from 19th to 21st September. There will be a team event placed somewhere in the tournament that will see 16 teams with four players each is locking horns in the six NLHE and Omaha tournaments. The winning team will get a ticket to take part in WPT Korea Main Event which will see the participation of teams from United Kingdom, United States of America, Singapore and Australia as well.
According to WPT Live Event Specialist, Danny McDonagh said that this event is a monumental opportunity for WPT. He said, “The WPT has a very big appetite for poker and it would build as it go out across the world. The event in Vietnam is a massive opportunity to bring in new players and also to promote poker to this part of the world.”
This will be the second visit of the World Poker Tour after arriving to India for the first time in 2017 to organize World Poker Tour for the first time in 18 years in India. However, it seems likely that second WPT will also be held in India. If it is held, it will be from November 13-19 at the Deltin Royale Casino in Goa. This is the perfect time for the poker organization as India takes a giant leap into the world of poker. With the Indian Law Commission trying to bring uniformity in the rules that have been laid down for poker become the same. According to the Indian Law Commission, it is the only way to control the betting industry that is growing at an alarming rate in India.
